FLOW GAME FOR EARTH CAUSES – BERLIN

FLOW GAME FOR EARTH CAUSES

April 21, 2023 | 5.00 – 8.30pm

at Kaospilot Berlin – Atelier Gardens

This is a special invitation for everyone who works with refugees, or any environmental causes in Berlin.

Even if you are not working directly with an organization or if you are not active at the moment, or if you don’t live permanently in Berlin, but you deeply care about these causes, you are welcome to join us!

This will be an open space for reflection, exchange and connection. Here is our calling question:

On the wake of Earth Day, how may we support each other in regenerating and renewing our connection to our causes and aspirations?

“Planting a tree, morally and poetically, requires taking care of it for a really long time, not just sticking it in the ground.”  – Kathleen Rogers, President of the Earth Day Network

“[Being a refugee] is like removing the roots of the tree of life from its homeland and throwing it in the storm of wind and sunburn.”  – Abdulhay from Syria on #YourDayYourVoice

“It is the obligation of every person born in a safer room to open the door when someone in danger knocks.” – Dina Nayeri, author

Taking care of your home (Earth) requires energy.

Working so that everyone has a sense of home and safety – no matter where on Earth – also requires energy.

Being an activist requires energy.

It requires being well grounded and connected to your aspirations.

It requires a vision of what we are trying to achieve, and dedicated action towards that vision.

It requires us to courageously step forward while inviting others in and being supported by our community.

Sometimes the energy becomes imbalanced, and we lose connection to our purpose, or, on the other hand, we are so connected to this vision that might forget to rest and take time for ourselves.

This is when we can choose to pause and open space for reflection, with the holding and witnessing of others.

On the wake of Earth day, we are inviting you to an evening of nourishing reflection and exploration in community, playing the Flow Game around your own question.

You will be invited to bring a question that is deeply relevant for you at this point in life.

To craft you on your question, we invite you to consider:

  • What do I need from my community? What kind of support do I want now to continue the work I’ve been doing?
  • What is Earth asking from me now? And what am I willing to receive?
  • What does it mean to be an activist for Earth and all humanity?
  • How do I take care of myself while I act?

The Flow Game will offer a calm space for us to explore your personal questions. We will sit in circle around the board, working with our questions and offering wisdom council to each other. This is both a playful time and a time to offer and receive deep intuition. You will be hosted to offer your inspirations to others and maybe find insights for yourself.
